Wing Foil in Bora Bora
Flat, shallow, warm and uncrowded — close to ideal conditions for learning to wing foil, and a spectacular place to do it if you already can.

Why beginners do well here
Wing foiling punishes deep water and choppy conditions, and the Bora Bora lagoon offers neither. There are large shallow areas where you can simply stand up, reset the wing and start again, and the surface stays flat through most of the morning. Warm water means a long session rather than a cold, short one.
Wind seasons
May to October is the reliable window, with trade winds filling in through the day. March, April, November and December are lighter, and better suited to riders who are already up and flying rather than to first-timers.
What to expect
The learning curve is steeper than towed sports and shallower than kitesurfing. Most people manage short flights within a couple of sessions, and the flat water means the falls that come first cost you nothing but a laugh.
